Orton Gillingham

Orton Gillingham (OG) is an educational approach, rather than a curriculum, designed to teach the structure and code of the English language. Rooted in a philosophy that dates back to the 1930s, this approach encompasses a progression from phonological awareness and pre-reading skills to advanced language structure. Orton Gillingham aligns with the principles of Structured Literacy, providing a comprehensive foundation for effective language instruction.
